I had this idea the other day for a T-Shirt design, like one of those text and image role playing games from the late 80's early 90's, but with an Aussie twist, then I realised that in 1990 when I was in year 7, or was it year 8, we used to play this game called Gold Mine or Gold Rush on these
BBC computers.
I found the above text from
http://gutenberg.net.au/pgaus.html and is from a book by David Carnegie (1871-1900) called Spinifex and Sand. The picture was in created in the wonderfull Microsoft Paint, where I used a picture of the WA landscape mix with a dead horse and an old picture of
Bourke and Wills. I painted of these to try and get some sort of 8 bit computer game feel to it. Microsoft Paint is such a basic tool for making things, but sometimes that can lead to making something very creative.
This is the completed T-Shirt design, as per the ideas that were going on in the last post. But just in case you didn't know this is some sort of fan art combining District 9 and my love of 8 bit video games, like Space Invaders.
I made this design using my Wacom some time ago and now decided to post it.
It's been a while since my last post, and last post that was a drawing. This drawing comes out of frustration of not be very creative over the last 2 months(maybe less).
Just posted another Horror T up at Red Bubble, as you can tell it's based on Vampire Teeth, kind of an ideal pop image, however I don't like the lips.
The idea for this came about while watching Batman - The Animated Series amd thinking about Icons, Logo's and comic to movie conversations (Wolverine).
Another T shirt design, not great but still working with the Wacom tablet and Photoshop.
