Canberra to Sydney to Cairns to Mission Beach
We met Don and Karen at Cairns airport but they were running a little late due to some road works outside of Mission Beach. We decided to go on a bit of sight seeing through some of the inland.
We had lunch here at Cairns Pierre.After having lunch in Cairns, we followed some windy road up to Eacham Lake, where there were a few people taking a dip, and also it's famous for Turtles, which we spotted.
Milla Milla FallsAfter Eacham we went to Milla Milla Falls, which were fantastic, but you couldn't swim there due to some bacterial problem. Then we went down through the Atherton Table Lands, which reminded him of Gippsland with there hills and dairy farms.
I can't remember where this was shot, but somewhere on the way down to the Atherton Table Lands.
